Patrol and OPV
Bureau Mauric designed for many years patrol and surveillance boats.
In the 80s, among many others, we did the President Omar Bongo, and collaborate to a simplified mine-hunter which could be used as a patrol boat in peace times.
In the mid-80s, we designed with Thomson-CSF an anti-aircraft patrol boat : Iris. Then in the late 90s, when the French “Affaires Maritimes” bought this ship we supported them in the refit to transform her as the major patrol ship of this administration.
Thanks to these successes, the French Custom Administration trusted us for the design of its 2 new 45 m patrol and training vessels (Jacques Oudart Fourmentin and Thevennec).
For DCN international we draw Ares 102 and 202: a new concept of modular patrol boat. With 3 x 3000 CV, these boats are fast and heavily armed. The project evolved then to Ares 105 and 106, light corvettes, with many weapons systems, and heli hangar.
More recently, for DCNS we took part in programs to set up the basis of a long range patrol vessels. These ships should features long range, good seakeaping, economical construction and TOC…
Depending of the version, these ships should be comprised between 75 to 95 m, reach 22 to 25 kts and feature an endurance of at least 5500 Nm.
