The Ministry of Defence often entrust us the design and the engineering of their ship like Alize, a 60m support ship to the fleet, or the 21m VIR fast fire motor launch for military ports. The Bureau Mauric was selected to participate to the prospective study FAMIBAT, future offshore patrol vessels of the French Navy.

The Bureau Mauric is also a usual DCNS subcontractor of. We have been heavily involved in setting the range of OPV Gowind (see section OPV), and a few projects transport ships or frigates. The confidentiality of these studies does not allow us to write more on this topic.

In the past, the Bureau Mauric participated in various military programs. First with the “Esterel shipyard” in the 80, for speedboats missile launcher, as President Omar Bongo.
Then in the late 80s, early 90s, for the Thomson-CSF group, we designed Iris : a 50 m ship missile launcher, bearer of the anti-aircraft CROTALE.

Recently the Bureau Mauric has contributed to the CNIM with their innovative concept convertible catamaran landing craft: the L-CAT.
