MAURIC has developed a large range of Search and Rescue (SAR) Boats designed for Coast Guards operations in coastal or riverine areas. They are designed to proceed to life-saving operations, coast surveillance and to support security during events at sea. These vessels can also be deployed for private Protection assistance. MAURIC SAR boats are totally designed to meet the requirements of Coast guards, Search and Rescue Agencies or even Private Protection Companies.
Since 1945 and its founding by André Mauric, the company has developed special hull forms and arrangement optimized for efficient and safe operations at sea. The MAURIC SAR boats are well known for their high speed in rough waves and ergonomic arrangement increasing capabilities of rescue boat launching and recovery and man-overboard assistance.
More than 25 MAURIC SAR Boats have been launched since 2000. They have been delivered to more than 5 countries. In France MAURIC has developed several designs for the famous Search and Rescue Association “Société Nationale de Sauvetage en Mer” (SNSM), especially the latest 12m SNSM standard. The MAURIC range of 12 to 32 meters long SAR boats have been built in Aluminium, GRP or Steel and can be so customized to the Owner’s requirements. Thanks to this large range of SAR boats, MAURIC can provide solutions specifically adapted to Search and Rescue operators, in terms of length breadth, speed and materials. For example, most of these SAR Boats can be proposed with self-righting and/or unsinkable capacities and several of them are able to reach a speed of more than 30 knots. They are also configurable with various types of propulsions, engines, rescue boats, deck systems. Apart from their good operability and performances in waves the MAURIC SAR Boats are also designed for cost efficiency operations by offering low operating (fuel efficiency) and maintenance costs.
