The SalvatoreP Tuna Seiner Reaches Her Home Port
Designed by MAURIC and built by Mediterranea Shipyard in Viareggio,
the 47.5 m SalvatoreP tuna seiner owned by Pappalardo Shipowner has left Viareggio this week to reach her home port of Salerno. On arrival, the vessel made a stop at Cetara, the ancestral port of the Pappalardo family, where she was welcomed by the local fishing community.

During her first sea trials, the
SalvatoreP confirmed her speed performance and fuel efficiency, validating the targets established through MAURIC's engineering studies. With a range of 4,000 nautical miles at 14 knots, she is built for extended Mediterranean campaigns. Her SWATH stern hull, specifically developed to optimise seakeeping during operations, along with 184 m³ of fish hold capacity, make her a highly capable working vessel, accommodating at most a crew of 17 in excellent conditions.

The SalvatoreP joins the Pappalardo Shipowner fleet
In the coming weeks, the SalvatoreP will take part in her first 2026 tuna fishing campaign, alongside the tuna seiner GenevièveP and the assistance catamaran GiovannaP, the two other vessels of Pappalardo Shipowner, both designed by MAURIC. This first campaign will be an opportunity to demonstrate the seaworthiness of this latest addition to the family fleet under real operating conditions.
