The hybrid patrol vessel "Cosaint" has successfully completed her sea trials in July 2025 and was delivered to Irish Customs the following month. Built by ARMON shipyard in Spain to a MAURIC design, this 35-metre hybrid cutter marks the first time the French naval architecture firm has integrated gyroscopic stabilisation technology into a patrol vessel.

Built on MAURIC's sea-proven expertise, Cosaint features a hull design validated through ten previously delivered vessels, providing operators with excellent performance in challenging maritime conditions. The comprehensive studies conducted by MAURIC enabled the design of a vessel meeting Lloyd's classification requirements, ensuring compliance with international maritime standards.
The hybrid propulsion system delivers an 18-knot capability with reduced fuel consumption. When Cosaint runs on electric power alone, she operates silently for surveillance operations.

Cosaint's stern ramp system deploys a 6.25-metre RHIB. The aft access door facilitates personnel transfer during intercept operations. The rear of the ship is fitted with a dedicated UAV landing platform for future drones operations.
Sea trials confirmed all performance specifications and stakeholder requirements were met, demonstrating MAURIC's capability to integrate advanced systems whilst maintaining operational effectiveness, with construction executed by ARMON shipyard.
